COSTA RICA has been growing coffee since the early 19th century and coffee production was encouraged after independence from Spain in 1821. This washed coffee is sourced from the West Central Valley in the Palmares Canton in the Alajuela Province. A cooperative of farmers contributes to the production of Bromelia Fancy.
